BriarPatch Poodles Puppies to Participate in Clemson University Research

I am so excited to announce that Rosie & Bullet’s litter has been accepted into a Puppy Weight Growth Study that’s being conducted by researchers at Clemson University!
Their goal is to collect puppy weight data from a large number of puppies so they can construct individual growth curves for them and determine growth parameters for the Poodle breed. They are also interested in determining the genotypes at around a dozen genes that govern growth and size of dogs. They will be looking for correlations between the growth parameters and genotypes.
I pride myself in our standards for producing quality puppies that are beautiful, genetically sound and with exceptional temperaments and I’m beyond thrilled that that our puppies will now be a part of a scientific study that can benefit the future of dog science as well!
