Thank you for your interest in owning a BriarPatch Poodle puppy! We can't wait for you to join our family!

We are honored you are here and appreciate the privilege to provide you with a forever friend. Since our dogs are our family pets first and foremost, all of our puppies are raised in our home, with constant supervision, daily snuggles and exposure to the protocols of Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), Early Scent Identificiation (ESI) and Empowered Breeder exercises (BAB). This ensures all of our puppies are well-rounded, empowered, and ready to provide your family with a lifetime of love from the moment they become yours. We hope that as you read through our steps to purchasing a puppy, that you truly get a sense of our devotion, passion and commitment to our puppies, puppy parents and the entire process.

1. Before you fall in love with our puppies (we know that's nearly impossible...they really are the cutest!), please read our Purchase Agreement and complete our Client Questionaire, both of which are linked at the bottom of this page.

2. Next, we can schedule a call to chat (if emailing isn't as convenient for you).  We will discuss what you are looking for in a companion, what your home life looks like and what preferences you have as far as gender and color are concerned.  While we don't encourage puppy picks based on gender and color, we do understand that many people will have a preference and we want to know what those are so that we can (hopefully) find the perfect match that meets all of your hopeful criteria.

3. Follow along with us on Facebook where we will document everything from pregnancy accouncements, to birth and puppy milestones throughout the 8 weeks the puppies are with us.  When a breeding is planned, we will begin taking Reservarion Fees ($300) to establish puppy-picking order.  Puppy picks will be made in the order the reservation fees are received.  (The first person to pay the reservation fee will be the first to pick their puppy and we will move down the list in order of fees received).  The $300 goes towards the final purchase price of the puppy (it is not an additional fee), and although it is non-refundable, it is transferable to a future litter if you do not find a puppy that fits your family perfectly.    Reservation fees can be deferred for a total of 1 year, or 3 litters. After 1 year has passed, or 3 litters have passed, the reservation fee is forfeited and an additional fee will need to be paid if a puppy is to be reserved. Additionally, if a puppy is chosen and it is decided you no longer want the puppy after 6 weeks of age, the reservation fee is forfeited. The only exception to this is if our veterinarian finds a significant flaw in the puppy. In that case, the reservation fee will be transferred to a different puppy or future litter.

4. At 4 weeks when puppy personalities are emerging, puppy picks will be made and you can reserve the puppy of your choice. For the safety of our unvaccinated and breeding females, we will be conducting puppy picks via video chat. Waiting to pick a puppy based on temperament helps set puppies and their families up for long-term success, which is, of course, our ultimate goal ~ to create forever friends.  Because I have spent so much time working with each and every puppy individually, and have spent so much time evaluating their temperaments and personalities, I will make suggestions of which puppies I feel would suit your family best, but the ultimate decision will be left up to you.  Once you have met the puppies (virtually), you will be given 3 hours to make your pick so that I am able to move efficiently through the reservation list and give everyone the opportunity to make their pick before 8 weeks.

Now it's time for you to begin prepping your home for the arrival of your new puppy. You will need to purchase a crate, food, toys, training treats and more. You will also want to purchase your Baxter and Bella online training subscription and watch the "before you bring your puppy home" video so that you are prepared.

5. Puppies will be ready to go home at 8 weeks, unless otherwise determined by our veterinarian.  Go-home dates are determined by our veterinarian, as we do not send puppies to their new homes until they have been cleared to go home by her.  First vaccines and vet exams take place at 7 weeks, so we usually have a good idea of when the puppies will be ready to go home by then.  We strive for puppies to go home at the 8 week mark so that bonding with their new family can begin, however, we will keep the puppies at no charge until 9 weeks as a courtesy to arrange for pick up or transportation. On Go Home Day, the final purchase agreement will be signed and the remaining balance of the purchase price will be paid.  Trupanion pet insurance will be activated  and you will receive extensive documentation on your puppy's life up until that point.

If you need your puppy to stay with us beyond 9 weeks, we are happy to start additional training and charge $15 per day.

Puppies born from Miniature- Moyen Poodles start at:

Payments

Reservation fees can be paid electronically through Zelle. The remaining balance will need to be paid with cash upon pickup.  We have found that the majority of buyers have a daily limit, which prevents them from paying the full balance via Zelle. We are unable to accept PayPal or Venmo, as they do not allow animal sales.

Delivery is available for an additional fee (cost of gas plus $50/hour of driving if our schedule allows) and can be discussed on a case by case basis. We also highly recommend Delifurry for ground transportation.
